1 Coaching Session (50mins) + How to Move Forward After a Traumatic Experience in Marriage
Learn How To Find The Hope To Move Forward Again
Trauma in marriage comes in all varieties.
Trauma can range from the hurt of unmet expectations to any type of loss that is grieved. It can be a spouse who has an affair and leaves the marriage, or an unwanted divorce. A couple may experience the same trauma and respond to it in different ways.
By definition, trauma is a physical wound that is produced suddenly and unexpectedly, or an experience that causes emotional pain or hurt.
Why should you take this course?
So many of us have suffered a serious setback or trauma in our marriage.
It can knock us down and leave us feeling utterly hopeless. For many women, it's hard to even get out of bed, let alone try to manage a life.
This course will teach you how to take small steps to begin to reclaim your life.
- Learn basic steps to reclaim your life - steps as basic as getting up on time each day
- Build on small successes in order to begin to show up for your life again
- Learn the role that abiding in Christ plays in your healing and your growth
- Adopt the cycle of Scripture that changed my life
- Apply these Scriptures and learn to make changes in your own life
This course is designed for you to work through at your own pace. However, for those of us who like a more concrete timetable, I would recommend you allow 4-6 weeks to complete the course.
Who am I to write this course?
My own marriage suffered a deep wound and trauma at the expense of choices made. The same incident had a very different impact on my husband and me. The event brought deep hurt, life changes, many losses, and questions that rocked me to my core. I spent six months really praying and debating about whether I was going to even stay in my marriage.
I have walked the path I'm about to lay out for you, and I've done it with questions and disbelief from some, but with encouragement and prayer from others.
I have been writing for over 4 years on the topic of encouragement for wives who pray for redemption in their marriages. The writing has been a way to draw closer to the Lord, while trying to encourage others at the same time.
I am the co-author of Hope for the Hurting Wife: 30 Days of Practical Encouragement for Your Marriage, along with my dear friend, Jen Stults. We wrote this book together to offer hope for wives in struggling marriages.
I am a certified Marriage Breakthrough Coach and Biblical Life Coach with a desire to help women who have to walk this path. These courses have helped me to understand the path to healing, through Christ. They have also provided in-depth training on how to help women get "unstuck" in their lives.
I am offering a coaching session with the course, for those who are interested.
This will give you an opportunity to ask questions specific to your situation,
and will provide a deeper level of support.
The coaching session will be 50 minutes long, and details are included in the course curriculum
to help you set up your coaching call.
Available only to students who purchase at this level.
Moving forward after a trauma is possible.
I write from a Christian perspective, fully reliant on prayer and God's Word, but these principles will apply regardless of your religious background.
Whatever trauma or deep hurt has led you to this course, I pray this course is a blessing to you.
I am not a medical professional. My degree is in Education and my heart is in helping people. Please take care to seek any medical or psychological help from a trained professional.

God gave Rebekah a front row seat to the work of His redemption in her marriage. After surviving the initial trauma, she determined to fix her eyes solely on Jesus and trusted Him to carry her through the storm that followed. Rebekah shares not only her heartache, but also her great hope with other wives so they might know God still redeems, even in the toughest of circumstances. Now, years later, she praises God for restoring her marriage.
Rebekah co-leads an online community for struggling wives around the world and shares encouragement for those who face the daunting task of surviving the "for worse" of marriage. You can learn more about her ministry to wives at her blog, Sharing Redemption’s Stories. You can also follow her on Facebook and Pinterest.
